Subjectively, I discovered that the GP500 had very accurate grayscale OOTB. I measured a DeltaE value of just 2.3 which is less than the amount visible to the naked eye. This is quite impressive. The Dynamic Contrast feature really helped bring depth to the few night scenes in Life of Pi and the color on display was excellent as well. Avatar looked great as well.

These can be beneficial in less than ideal installations since they make it easier to display an image in a flat format. However, they can affect the image quality. It is crucial to keep in mind this. The GP500 produced very clean and distinct colors. It also was a fantastic grayscale performer OOTB.
